First Workshop & Official Project Launch

We’re excited to share that our project officially kicked off with a first workshop held earlier in February 2026 in Huffalize, southern Belgium. The workshop marked the first in-person gathering of the team, creating an important space for discussion, planning, and exchange.

Over the course of the week, participants engaged in:

• presenting the main research objectives and interdisciplinary approaches
• discussing methodologies and data integration strategies
• planning the next phases of research and dissemination

This initial meeting was a crucial milestone, allowing the team to establish a shared vision and research framework, but also identify key challenges moving forward.

Beyond the formal sessions, the workshop also fostered a strong sense of collaboration and community, an essential element for the success of the project in the coming years.

This first meeting laid a strong foundation for the work ahead. With the project now underway, we look forward to the next phases of research, collaboration, and dissemination.
